The bosses feel like slightly beefier regular enemies, rather than show stoppers, but the enemy diversity in the first few levels is about the same as NT. Yes, it does feel quite similar to NT, but it's less frantic and less punchy, and generally a bit more forgiving in my 2 hours so far. The former has been talked about to death elsewhere, but I can comment on the latter.
